Unbelievable! And we wonder why our kids are so quick to learn technology. I have put a few kids apps on my phone for my daughter to mess with on occasion, and it is amazing how easily she figures out how to use them, and she isn't even 3 yet. Just now she took a DVD out of her portable DVD player, put a new one in, turned it on, and told me she wanted to watch it. Maybe it's a hint to those who have trouble learning technology; if you lose all of your fear of messing something up and just try it, you'll learn how to work things.
You said it. I work with a lot of veteran teachers who are worried of pressing the wrong button because something may go wrong. I've finally gotten to the point where I say, just press a button, if it's not the right one, we'll fix it.
I feel like this Fisher Price toy is not an educational tool, but yet another appealing toy that will make them a lot of money. Do toddlers really need iPhones? I do feel that we need to introduce technology at an early age, but some things are just not necessary.
A neat idea! The only problem I noticed is that the touch-screen does not work while in the protective case. I do like the fact that it protects it when dropped. I use my phone as a photo book with my little one, scrolling through the image gallery helping her identify members of the family. Like someone said, it will probably make a lot of money and more will mimic the idea.
